    Fantastic account of institutional learning by the Army. Most surprising thing was the experimental mindset. The problems are the same today, however; "lack of reconnaissance (tactical), no tactical finesse, and weak coordination." These things continue to be a focus in our military today. The lessons learned were focused on large unit action. Commanders and staffs had to support and move 1000s of troops which had not been done before. The armored force lost its uniqueness - it could not succeed [...]
