This was an okay story, but I didn't enjoy it as much as the previous book in the series. I thought that Morgan was taking the mickey a bit by neglecting her schoolwork when she knew her grades were slipping, and I thought the idea that Morgan was behind the weird stuff that was happening to be a bit of an odd one too. We were left with a bit of a cliff-hanger though (view spoiler)[ Hunter is leaving and doesn't know for how long! (hide spoiler)]6 out of 10["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]> [...]

Weird things are happening and no one can really figure out why. Cal and Selene are dead. Ciaran is on the run and he couldn't possibly be making them happen from how far away he is so naturally, everyone starts blaming Morgan. She's powerful, she uninitiated maybe she's causing these things to happen without knowing it.Hunter brings someone to help Morgan learn more about her powers and how to control them. She starts tutoring Morgan as soon as she gets there. The story shifts, suddenly we're aw [...]

PlotThe plotline with Amyranth has been put on the back burner for now, with only bare mentions of the murderous coven that literally wipes out groups of people. Instead, the reader gets to deal with Morgan’s drama with her parents and her terrible grades. It’s very boring, for the most part. Morgan is dealing with the repercussions of not focusing on the non-magickal world while still being in it. Most of the book was very blah. WritingThe writing was the same as usual: mediocre, but not te [...]

I'll warn people straight off the bat. This is the book where the series is supposed to start shifting the focus from Morgan to Alisa. The next book will focus on Hunter, but from there out the books supposedly focus on Alisa more.In this book Morgan finds that strange things are beginning to happen around her- even more so than usual. Her father still roams free, despite the attempts of the good witches who are trying to track him down. Morgan can't help but wonder if these events- strange tele [...]

Letteralmente divorato.

4 Stars: It was definitely a great book, but not the best in the series. It wasn't as suspenseful as some of the others were. But I can't wait for the next one because of how it ended. Morgan gives off the feeling of being very lonely in this book. Mary K is drifting farther away by the day. She's more concerned with Alise then Morgan. And Alise is coming across as the poor me character. The one thing that does frustrate me about this series… Morgan, how she never speaks up when she should. It [...]

Ugh, I didn't like Morgan in this one. It really pissed me off when she missed the family day, and also pissed me off how the others just couldn't GET that school is kind of important for her right now. Oh and I can't stand Alisa either, what an annoying little shit! /rant over ;)

Morgan grew up a bit in this book. I feel if she really wanted her parents to be ok with Wicca she should have made more of an effort in school. This was an ok story but I found all the arguments frustrating and the fact that everyone automatically tried to blame Morgan for the out bursts of magic was annoying. It’s their job to look into that kind of thing and they literally don’t don’t even investigate. This book seemed a little lighter than some of the others.

Word of the book "gray". Seriously though. Everything was gray This was a spacer book. Waste of paper really. Nothing happens.

After reading this book, I was very disappointed, and trust me, starting off a review like this pains me very much so… Opinion of the Plot: The plot was amazing, at least I thought so. The new spells and the displays of magick were, to put in simple words, magical. The first couple of chapters I really enjoyed. I couldn’t stop laughing. And when I wasn’t smiling, I was holding my breath, knowing something bad was going to happen but couldn’t bring myself to stop reading. So why the terri [...]

3.5/5 This is my third time reading this, first in 2003, then 2015, and now 2017. I wanted to rate it higher, but it is probably the lowest point in the series thus far. Still worth reading, but just not as good as previous books. Like many have said, this book was a bit more of a slog than the others. Don't let that stop you from reading it though. The book marks a shift from Morgan to Alisa as a focal point for the story. The chapter openings were larger and switched between Sarah Curtis and A [...]

SO this one took me a while to read and get through. Maybe it was because it wasn't as dramatic and suspenseful as the other books were. I found myself at times, a bit bored with this book. The council is on the hunt for Ciaran still. Hunter is still on the hunt for his parents, believing that he's receiving signs from them. Sky is unhappy where she is and longs to go back home to England. All of Morgan's friends are having issues of their own and her family life is falling part, along with her [...]

Kat Mandu saysMorgan’s realized her life has become complicated with the discovery of her real father’s lineage – and what he did to her own mother has haunted her from the beginning. Now the stress level has come to a head and Morgan’s dealing with it in the worst way. Her powers are lashing out and causing destruction and harm to others. Or are they? This one is actually my least favorite in the series. It isn’t written poorly, but as I started to read it, I began to get angry with mo [...]

As I've said in past reviews, I really enjoy this series. However, I think the books are a little too short to really qualify as an actual book in my mind. There are fifteen books in this series, and I feel like it could have been condensed into longer books, considering they really pick up right where the last book left off. That being said, I think Strife was one of my favorites out of the series. I am, however, getting really tired of Morgan's power. Being more than halfway into the series, I [...]

What to say about this book? A lot has happened. Morgan had her magick reined in because of telekinetic events by a woman named Erin. I'm not sure how I feel about her because it feels like this woman keeps making many wrong decisions throughout the book. Also, Alisa who started to keep a book of shadows. She's new to the coven, and she greatly mistrusts Morgan. She thinks Morgan is evil, but I think it's Alisa. In the book, we have someone else's point of view through her book of shadows, Sarah [...]

Morgan has experienced both the beauty and the terror that magick can bring yet she has managed to find a place of peace within herself. With her boyfriend Hunter by her side she is looking forward to learning as much as she can about the craft. But when strange telekinetic events start to occur around Morgan, a dangerous question arises. Is someone deliberately targeting her, or are the events somehow being caused by Morgan herself? This is the ninth book in the Wicca series (after Book of Shado [...]

So lala - Das beschreibt Band 9 doch ganz gut.

This is the 9th book in the Sweep series.Hunter is due at Morgan's, and it's the meet-the-parents ritual that's going to take place.Morgan finds out she will be initiated as a witch, but then will have to become an apprentice and have to take tests before being initiated as a blood witch. For now, she will be tutored in magical defenses.Hunter's parents are in hiding from the dark wave. Hunter gets a mental message from one of them. Morgan, meanwhile, has not been keeping up on her schoolwork at [...]

This one is actually my least favorite in the series. It isn't written poorly, but as I started to read it, I began to get angry with most of the characters in the book. I hated Erin for acting like a know it all, Sky for leaving, Morgan's parents for being unable to understand their daughter's faith, Mary K for being annoying, Alisa for being paranoid, and even Hunter for allowing her to be stripped of her magick. I especially wasn't fond of Morgan since she seemed ignorant and selfish througho [...]

I think you can call Strife the book that is like a rest point. It builds up the next few stories for what is about to happen though nothing much really happens. It's to get to know the characters better. Morgan with her parents and her sister and all that. The meeting parents thing with Hunter and of course to get to know Alisa a lot better. In this part I really disliked Mary K. I think that's she is of course a loving friend towards Alisa but I think she is to selfish to Morgan. With all that W [...]

Ugh seriously I am sad. I started this series in 2012 and read the last book in 2013 its 2016 and the only reason i bought this book because i was curious about Morganher next step etc.You know these moments when you lay in bed and can not sleep and your thoughts thrived awayah i got this a lot with book series that i didn't finish like Sweep and House of night. I am one of the kind who finishs a series no matter what this year i learned that life's too short so it is a no from mebut only becaus [...]

I really liked this book, but I was disappointed in it's ending. I won't say too much and spoil it for you, but Cate Tiernan has a way of leaving things hanging so you never really know for sure who is doing what. Also I can't believe Hunter's choice at the end of the book, SHOCKING! Poor Morgan is all I have to say. I did get really annoyed with Morgan in this book as well because she never seems to know when to say when. Her grades are slipping, her parents are pissed, her friendships are fail [...]

Oh sheesh, again I forgot to put that I was reading this and now I don't have a start date. Oh well. This one always annoys me because it's like all the characters got a big dose of dumb (why, Cate Tiernan???) and are believing things and doing things that make no sense for the characters and all that they have been through and learned. Like, no, it's NOT Morgan causing things to jump off walls - by now she would really be able to tell/feel it and why does everyone think it's her anyway (HUNTER? [...]

Today's review is on Strife by Cate TiernanStrife is the 9th book in the Sweep series by Tiernan, and is a step downward from her previous volumes. As in the previous book, Morgan's life is still out of control. Her father is on the loose, and even though she knows his true name she is reluctant to tell Hunter. Her grades are still falling and her parents feel that their only option is to send her to a Catholic school. If that's not enough, things have been happening wherever Morgan goes. Books fl [...]

I enjoyed all the other books before this one, Strife had to be my least favorite.I really hated Erin and Alisa throughout the entire book. It seemed like Erin was influencing all of them to agree with her; that it was Morgan's powers going out of control, that they should temporarily bind Morgan's powers. It felt more like Alisa's powers going out of control. This book really didn't make sense to me. To many elements I hated. Ciaran getting captured so easily, yaaaah, that part I hated. It seeme [...]
