The last book in the Last Chance Rescue series, Run to Me is the darkest of them. It dedicates a large (IMHO) amount of time depicting the more than creepy villain's thoughts and showing all kinds of torture. The things that not only Ethan and Shea, but another secondary character that shall remain nameless, go through are enough to give a weak mind nightmares. I can only believe that Ethan and Shea will live HEA because this is Romancelandia, as there's no way they would be still functional in [...]

This was the best—and darkest—book in this trilogy. So good in fact, I have troubles collecting my thoughts in order to write this review. The two leads were tortured, their pasts were painful, the villain was twisted, the suspense and action intense, the steamy scenes beyond steamy, and the ending was absolutely lovely. The only thing lacking in what was supposed to be the big surprise was the big surprise, because that final plot twist was obvious almost from the get-go.Shea Monroe and Etha [...]

I like this series. Much of it stretches belief, but it's suspenseful, romantic and exciting, so I can handle that. This third installment had a few problems for me, though. To be honest, I was disappointed with the sex. No, not because there wasn't enough of it. Because it was there. It seemed wrong in the context and I thought the hero should have waited until there were no secrets between them. It took some of the romance away and felt like it was the author fulfilling a quota. The story line [...]

4.5 STARSChristy Reece continues to meet my expectations of her writing. I loved this book just as much as the other two, “Rescue Me“, and “Return To Me”.Reece continues to send her tortured characters through the wringer, along with my heart. The story/plot is introduced in the prior book, and brings us to Ixtapa, Mexico where Shea Monroe, who is on a non LCR mission to seek out the evil Donald Rosemount has been captured. Her personal mission was to seek out and kill Rosemount, who is [...]

3.5 starsShea and Ethan have a very extensive history together. Too bad we don't get to know what it is until 3/4 of the book is over. It was frustrating, and I think I would have felt a lot more connected with them if I could have understood where they were each coming from. Their history as a couple is constantly hinted at. We know they were together and that Ethan didn't want to commit, but that's about it. There was a lot more than that between them, though. Both their childhoods were glosse [...]

Such a GOOD book! Absolutely LOVED IT!!!Full review reposted from my Smitten with Reading blogMy Review:Run to Me is one of my favorite books from Christy Reese's Last Chance Rescue (LCR) series. She is about to release book #7 in the series, Sweet Justice (August 30th), so has been hostessing chats about all the former books on her blog leading up to that. It's given me a chance to re-read and write full reviews on all these books that I love- a win-win for all of us.This book is Shea and Ethan [...]

It could be a 5 stars book if not for dubts that Ethan had all through the book. The history between Shea and Ethan is divided in two periods: first when they where in love and together until Shea wanted more commitment and tryed to force him into it; second, after her rescue and loss of memory.I understand that he's felt responsible, but too much is too much. What I didn't understand is that he continues to feel responsible for an accident happened many years ago. He was driving the car when an [...]

This is the third book of the Last Chance Rescue series and it didn't move as fast paced as the other two. The romance was slow and overridden with Ethan's guilt and remorse for how he treated Shea in the past. The suspense was just not that much. You know the baddie and pretty much expect what is going to happen. The plot revolves around a twisted psychopathic kidnapper for hire, Donald Rosemount, who killed an LCR operative and took Shea and turned her into his zombie operative and companion b [...]

Author Christy Reece has a gift. She can take the most over-the-top plot and have you buy it without the slightest roll of your eyes. It's really quite a talent. So, it wasn't the plot involving a pale, weedy man drugging strong, tough, healthy people to create mindless automatons that call him master and do his bidding that was the part I had a problem with. It wasn't the amnesia trope that resulted, either. My issue was a desire to smack Ethan upside the head for hanging onto issues from the pas [...]

What can I say. I am hooked on this author. This series is prob one of my favorites so far! Her characters are built so perfectly that you spend week after finishing the book still with this image in your mind. The romance/suspense is just right and she never fails when putting in a good storyline. The main character Ethan, was mention in the last book and it was just enough information to know his past when beginning to read this book. the way all the juicy info gets poured out in this book is [...]

Another great book from Christy Reece. I really enjoyed this story. I have always loved when old flames rekindle their love for each other even if it's under unfortunate circumstances. There was a surprise at the end of the book involving one of the and it kept me wanting for more. Christys books are full of suspense, steamy romance, well developed characters, and are fast paced so I am never bored while reading them. Christy is one of my favorite authors.

3 stars.I had difficulty finishing this one. I fully understand that the whole premise of LCR revolved around operatives overcoming personal tragedies and damaged lives to rescue the innocents but it's just all so depressing. What happened to Shea is so extreme that I have a hard time reading through it all. This is probably one series that I can only take in short doses in between lighter fares.

I think this book is perhaps my favorite of the series so far. It's a tough call. All three books I've read so far have been solid 4-star reads, but this one was maybe a smidge better than the previous two.Series Note:Third book in Reece's “Last Chance Rescue” series about an independent agency that focuses on rescuing victims, even if their means are outside the law. You may or may not be able to read this book without reading the other two first, but I think there'd be more of an impact if [...]

Reviewed on atastyreadOh Ethan Bishop I love you!! This one had me up until 2 a.m. last night and it was DEFINITELY worth it!!In Run to Me, we finally get Ethan Bishop's storyd I have been waiting to find out more about this mysterious, sexy lion of a manhee hee. Ethan finds out that his Ex-lover and LCR operative, Shea Monroe, has turned and begun working for an LCR enemy. He does not believe that his Shea would ever turn, so he goes on a rescue mission, this one being his toughest one yet.Shea [...]

descriptionDriven by grief and fury, Shea Monroe, an operative for Last Chance Rescue, goes deep undercover, vowing vengeance against the man who killed her husband. Instead, she ends up a captive and the unwilling weapon of a vicious human trafficker. But then she is rescued from her den of terror and shame by her husband’s best friend, Ethan Bishop, a man Shea feels irrevocably drawn to, despite her having lost all memory of her life before she was captured.Having saved Shea from a madman, E [...]

This is a 5+++++ star story,so dark intense emotional romantic suspense ,absolutely loved Ethan-Shea's story both have suffered so much but still they stood again and became LCR people giving their life to save others,Ethan loves Shea but he purposely said some hurtful things and pushed Shea away but now he has got this second chance and Shea does'nt remembers anything about past months and her life but slowly she is healing,Ethan has decided once she is safe he will go away till then he will pr [...]

An excellent plot and storyline. Shea Monroe goes deep cover to avenge the death of her husband but ends up walking into a trap and not finding her way out. Ethan Bishop has been contacted by LCR, the organization he hasn't worked for for a year, to find her and rescue her if she is in danger. When he does find her, Shea seems to have no memory of who she is, and who Ethan is either. She fights him every step of the way, attempting to escape from him and go back to her 'Master'. Ethan manages to [...]

So, that's it! That's the last book of this series I have read. I won't go on this series because I don't like it. I went on the first 3 books just to be sure! ;)And this last book has been the last straw. Page after page of violence, murder, whipping, mental abuse and just ugliness :(This is the thing I liked less, there is no hope in those books. There is not a moment of happiness, no humour, no temporary relief. Even when our heroes/heroines are not mentally raped, tortured or simply put in d [...]

When Last Chance Rescue operative Shea Monroe goes deep undercover vowing to find the man who killed her husband, she is captured and given mind altering drugs. But then she is rescued by her ex-lover, Ethan Bishop, a former LCR agent. Shea is drawn to Ethan even though she has no memory of him and their past. Ethan will do anything to help Shea recover, but he cannot allow his feelings for her to resurface.I didn't like this book as much as the first two in the series. It wasn't a bad book, but [...]

I enjoyed this one, but it was my least favorite of the Trilogy. It's hard for me to swallow characters that swear for 98% of the book that they can't give their lover what they: need, deserve, want or some variation of how they aren't worthy and deserve to be punished yet they are noble and full of honor in every other aspect. Except when it comes to the woman that loves them then since he's trying to "save her" from himself he has carte blanche to be a prick. It's wildly frustrating. BUT, the [...]

4.5 stars, so rounding up to 5 stars. There are two slight downers here:(1) I hope the "I'm not good enough for her, ever" theme stops being repeated before it becomes an ad nauseam thing. My only complaint about Ethan.(2) It was patently obvious who the unnamed character was from the first mention. Maybe that was OK, and maybe the author expected her readers to catch this early on in the reading, though. Having said this, I'm really glad to be reading this series. Christy Reece can write, which [...]

This boo was much better than the previous two. If I hadn't been given the whole set, I would not have read past book one. This book didn't have the immature writing that the first two books suffered from, although the story was still a little unreal to me. I did like Ethan more than the previous male leads. Will definitely read the next book, in time, and hope they continue to develop, as the premise of these books interest me.

I think I'm being generous giving this 3*. I wasn't impressed with the writing or the plot, and didn't feel the angst. The "mind control" drug felt like a 1950's sci-fi flashback. Gabe's self-hated was too much and didn't feel real. Mostly the writing was simplistic, but I did enjoy some of the action scenes and the descriptions of the Tennessee countryside are nice.

a great ending to the first trilogy in her LCR series the next three are just as great but this one will pull at your heartstrings and keep your libido jumpin can't wait for book 7-9 coming soon MORE MORE MORE!

Cracking series!!!I have already downloaded the next in the series as I simply have to know what happens next. For me, that gives no greater praise and recommendation!! This is a great series that has incredible characters that do not spout love and commitment to the extent that they resemble no other 'man' on Earth! The characters are so beautifully flawed that you feel as if you are a fly on the wall observing in real time as opposed to being a reader curled up in bed with a dog and a glass of [...]

Third in the Last Chance Rescue romance suspense series revolving around the operatives of Last Chance Rescue (LCR) based in Paris and operating all over the world. The couple focus is on Ethan Bishop and Shea Monroe. My TakeWhat kind of man actually wants to surround himself with robots? Rosemount actually misses having someone around to listen to him prattle on about his day and worship him without judgment. To curl up and be his pet. To have no meaningful conversation. Yuck. It's certainly a le [...]

Setiap buku selanjutnya selalu semakin bagus.

This book had a storyline that was both interesting and terrifying. The fact that monsters like this one (Rosemount) really exist in this world is the scariest part. Human trafficking is an abomination; when you add the unethical scientific experimentation it takes it to a whole other level of horrific.
