***4.5 Stars***This last book in Jones and Tru's story solidified them as permanent members on my "favorite couples" shelf. I absolutely adore them!! He knew the rhythm. We'd created the rhythm together. It was ours, a dance we'd learned a long time ago"Jones and Tru are put in a tough predicament in this book. Sandra has decided to put her newborn baby up for adoption and she can't think of any better pair to raise him than her brother and best friend. I have to be honest hereI've never been a [...]

2.5 Stars, but rounded up this time because there was actually a five minute span where I didn't rage.Holy shit storm, BatmanYou might recall in my very ranty review of Tru Burn that Sandra absolutely killed my enjoyment of the story. Well, at the end of that book, she made an innocent sounding, but foreboding, comment that just had me going "please, no.hing but that". And after reading the blurb for this book, I readjusted my hopes and instead, hoped that Sandra would at least go about her plan [...]

Well I'm sad to say good-bye to Tru and Jones - they are one of my all-time favorite couples. Now with that being said, some things I've taken away from this series are:(1) I do not like Sandra.(2) Tru and Jones have sex at the strangest, most unexpected times. But that's okay, I could forgive that. ;)(3) Nothing, and I mean nothing was easy for Tru and Jones. But that just made me love them more. So yeah, things were a bit messy. Their relationship wasn't picture perfect. And I didn't always lov [...]

I don't even know what to say in this review. The writing. The writing is the only thing that saved this book. This author is a 5-star writer for me, so I'm really frustrated that I'm going with 3 stars, barely, because of how much I hated the events and Sandra in this book. This will be ranty. You've been warned. What was hinted at in Book 2 actually did happen. In Chapter 1!!!! Sandra did it, yall. She fucking did it. So this was me the entire book as the events played out:Really, this review i [...]

~3.5 stars~Such a hard review to write. Some parts I loved, some otherst so much. And a certain part made me all ragey. I'm rounding up, because in the end, all that mattered to me is that Tru and Jones are one of the best couples ever. The chemistry and the the connection they share is phenomenal. Take it from someone who doesn't like series that feature the same couple. Tru and Jones not only didn't bore me, but I was thirsty for the scenes that it was just the two of them, living teir HEA. The [...]

Tru and Jones have become one of my favorite m/m couples ever and writing this review is hard because this is the last book in the series and it’s like saying goodbye. Hopefully Ms. Danford will include them as secondary characters in a future spin off coz the ‘Trunes’ couple is just the greatest. In this last leg of their journey, Tru and Jones are thrown another curveball as Sandra decides to dump her kid on them and jetset off to rehab to get treatment. After her behavior in the last boo [...]

This made me super ragey. I didn't enjoy it much at all. Once again Sandra and her crap take over. Their was wayyyyy to much baby, and nowhere near enough Tru and Jones. I really like this couple, but this final book ruined it for me.

The book started out in such an unfair and selfish manor I was unsure as to whether this was even going to be enjoyable. Coming off Tru Burn and the total difference in feel from Tru Smoke didn’t leave me with much hope.I kind of knew it was going to happen. Actually, I for sure knew it was going to happen. Can I believe how it happened? No. Honestly, I am a little shocked that this is the road the author took. But yeah, I expected it. Did it suck? Pretty much. Am I happy at how it all went do [...]

4.5 Stars ~ Tru and Jones are happy in their engagement, and they are ecstatic to welcome Sandra’s baby. They have both been there for her when everything had gone sideways. But then, they are forced to take on parenthood very suddenly with exactly zero preparation. Tru has so many hang-ups about his own upbringing that his tension with the baby, once he realizes he’s going to be responsible for this new life, is nearly overwhelming. He may be able to manage a ranch and a billion-dollar comp [...]

A thousand feelings and a favorite coupleYou know how you have those crazy soft, worn in sweaters that you can bundle up in and the outside world melts away? That’s how I felt when I opened this book. I wasn’t sure I was ready to say goodbye to this couple because I adore them so much, but reading about their love warms my soul. It’s powerful and epic, and can beat any odds. And wow did they face a big one in the third and final book of the series. I’m typically not a huge fan of series [...]

A Joyfully Jay review. 3.75 starsThe Ember Peak series is the continuing story of Tru and Jones and the books work best when read in order. The end of Tru Burn had the men engaged and ready to move forward with their lives. It also had Sandy pregnant with the father permanently out of the picture. This book opens with Sandy leaving to get the medical help she needs, but also with her setting in motion life altering plans for Tru and Jones to adopt her baby.Tru and Jones are an amazing couple. Wh [...]

I was disappointed in this one. It's that fucking sister. She's just AHHHHHHHH! I get why she's such a pain now but it still didn't make up for the way she went about her decisions. Chapter 1 kicks off with a bang and it just put me in a bad mood. I don't really want to talk about it anymore because I loved this series until we got here. This is probably a 5 star read for someone else, this is just a personal opinion. I didn't like the direction the story went and it made it hard to enjoy the bo [...]

I've been a fan of this series from the start and this third and final book in the series did not disappoint. Tru and Jones are such an interesting couple because of their differences. I really liked the pairing of an older, accomplished business man with a younger free spirit. They really work together. In Tru Flame, Tru and Jones are taking in the sun and sand in Costa Rica, where Sandra has just had her baby. But she has a secret too and she makes a very tough decision that involves having Tru [...]

DNF 70%I feel like the author's choices ruined these two later books. First, Sandra is just insanely selfish and inconsiderate. The fact that Tru and Jones let her get away with it, is infuriating.Second, this couple is seriously mismatched. All they do is talk over each other, and fuck. I did sympathize more with Tru - Jones was just so immature and oblivious at times. I just can't buy HEA for these two.

5 'Gotta give these two a five star. Some of the side storylines wound me up, but honestly that doesnt take much sometimes. Did not take away from how much I love these guys' stars.

4.5 starsThis and so much more can be found at The Novel Approach Tru and Jones are happy in their engagement, and they are ecstatic to welcome Sandra’s baby. They have both been there for her when everything had gone sideways. But then, they are forced to take on parenthood very suddenly with exactly zero preparation. *Copy provided to Bayou Book Junkie by the author for my reading pleasure in hopes of an unbiased opinion, a review was not a requirement.*Tru Flame is Book 3, and sadly, the final book in Edie Danford's Ember Peak series and must be read in the appropriate order. Don't skip around, or not read previous books, this whole series follows one couple and it absolutely must be read in order!Tru and Jones relationship faces more challenges when Sandra decides to leave her newborn with them and tells t [...]

Your brain will melt with all the warm sparkly loveThis is a three-part story of desire, relationship and a family created by love. Each book can be read on it's own merit however, when read in sequence, there is magic. This author delivers just what my soul needs.Sometimes love is simply a miracle. Perhaps it is always a miracle. Jones looking at Tru's newborn nephew sleeping on his chest, thinks about the power of love and of touch and physical connections and "how touch seems so basic - skin [...]

Tru and Jones!!! Please tell me that it's not over!!!!! My love for these two character's is strong, and I am so sad that their journey is over. But the ride was so worth it!Obviously, this is not a stand alone. This is the 3rd and final installment in this series revolving around Tru and Jones. And I have totally developed a big love for the whole May/December trope! Not gonna give too much away, as I don't want to spoil anything for the fans of this series. But, suffice it to say our boys are [...]

Tru and Jones + Sam forever! Okay, so the beginning of this book made me mad. Sandra has issues, we've always known that, but to literally abandon your baby with your brother and best friend without much of an explanation at first I was mad But I couldn't say I was surprised. Her actions in the last book showed she needed help. What I loved about this was it was about a same-sex couple who had to deal with the surprise of a baby. It was an original spin on 'oh, shit, we're pregnant'.Yeah, Tru did [...]

„Tru Flame” is a third and final installment in „Ember Peak” series by amazing Edie Danford. Jones Hudson and Truitt Larkin are on their way to happily ever after. They’ve become lovers, partners and got engaged, but are they ready to be fathers? Tru’s sister didn’t gave them much of a choice and now they have to face huge change in their lives.Oh my God! This book is so packed with emotions - first chapter already broke my heart. I love those guys so much! They’re one of my favo [...]

This book knocked me on my as* from the start. I was in no way expecting what hit as soon as the book started. Tru and Jones had their fair share of struggles in this book and my heart broke for them, but watching them slowly break down the barriers to happiness made my heart so full. So, the book starts off with Sandra disappearing and then calling and letting the guys know that she is leaving and the baby now belongs to them. Imagine the stunned shock that shook Tru and Jones to the core. Jones [...]

4.5 starsNo, no it can't end, I don't want this to be the last Tru and Jones book!! Even though I could see it coming with Sandra I still hated how she did it, I understand why though. I do. At the end of the book it was handled great, she was were she needed to be mentally.A few parts I enjoyed more than others and a few parts ticked me off, one part I liked was when Tru stood up himself and his familylly!! Both men had demons to overcome and I think they both did it their own way. This book pr [...]
