A MUST READ. Highly entertaining. Genius. One of my top favorites. You can't die and call yourself a reader if you haven't read this.

I'm in love with Sherlock Holmes, mistakes, inaccuracies and all. I've read every story at least four times. This is my favorite edition, it never leaves my house and I refuse to let anyone else borrow it. This character has become my favorite fictional character of all time and I won't fight anyone who says differently but I will disagree very strongly in my head.

For anyone thinking of starting this volume I have one piece of advice: do not if you don’t absolutely love Holmes. This is a 1,122 page volume with A Study in Scarlet text starting on page 13! This is all Doyle wrote about the detective, lock, stock and barrel. One more caveat: if you belong in the PC crowd, you might like to think twice before delving into this volume, for there will be plenty to “offend” the more delicate souls. I am of a strong constitution and it takes a bit to offend [...]

Most of the stories in the book read similar to BBC's new Sherlock series. However, I did find myself zoning out during the parts where Doyle's setup is either a bit long winded or unnecessary. Regardless, I still recommend this book to Sherlock Holmes and mystery fans.
