4.5 starsThis sequel does not disappoint! The perfect read for a windy and rainy day in October. This furthers the story of Katrina and Ichabod in wonderfully unique way. I realize that Ichabod's story ends in the original tale, but I was glad to see him back in this one. And we see a lot more of the Headless Horseman. He is spooky and creepy, but things are not always what they seem. I really was kept on the edge of my seat and could not figure out where the books was headed. The ending felt a [...]

Return to Sleepy Hollow by Dax Varley continues the adventures or better said misadventures of Katrina Van Tassel and Ichabod Crane as they flee Sleepy Hollow and set up in Philadelphia under false identities. "He was there againjust below. I awoke as always to the power of his presence. My bare feet hit the cold floor. One peek--just one--out the window. It'd been three years since I'd seen this horseman. The Horseman. And, as then, his hand reached out, summoning me to him. A chill deeper than [...]

I liked this one better than the 1st. The only thing that I can say is "poor Horseman". I'm glad Kristina's life comes together, mostly, but what about the Horseman? I did like hearing about his story as sad as it was, but I wanted more of a HEA.I think the story came together ok, just felt is wasn't quite complete. No worries, though, I'm still glad I read the stories.

fallenoverbookreviewsI received this book to give an honest review. This book picks up right where book one ended. Katrina and Ichabod are leaving Sleepy Hollow after Katrina has been arrested. We get to see the how Katrina's new life is coming together even though she is living under another name. Ichabod has also changed his name and though they are together they sneak around with the help of a new friend. Now Katrina and Ichabod both know that they could always be found out so they try their be [...]

This is the (for me) much anticipated sequel to Sleepy Hollow, which I read last year. The first book is a retelling of the famous Headless Horseman legend from the point of view of Katrina VanTassell. It is beautiful, romantic, scary and action-packed. The second book is not a let down after all of that, but it is pretty different from the first book as it ventures far from the famous tale. It begins a couple months after the first one ends, finding Katrina and Ichabod living in a new town unde [...]

Return to Sleepy Hollow!!! I just finished it and the last two parts just flew by. It was amazing. Violet has stolen my heart and I feel like I'm never gonna get it back again. She's such a great side character, so strong and just amazing. I love her. But let's talk about Katrina and what a wonderful character she is. I just love how strong and fierce she is, how protective she is over the people that are important to her. (view spoiler)[What I also loved in this story, was the fact that we a [...]

Overall: 3 out of 5 starsI read this book in an hour this afternoon since it is snowing in New England (on the first day of Spring)The book was decent. I wasn't aware it was a sequel, but it could be read as a stand alone book.It continues the classic tale of the Headless Horseman, except the main character is a girl name Katrina and her boyfriend is Ichabod Crane (made me think of Sleepy Hollow the tv show). The book progressed very fast and the last chapter went by so fast, I'm not sure it made [...]

I really enjoyed reading this novella. I had not read the original Sleepy Hollow before reading this. I still haven't but I did do some research and I've seen movies on it. With that said, I must say this book was most excellent. It picked up right where the original left you hanging and gives you complete closure, though it does open up for the possibility of new stories for Violet and Jonas. I was completely enthralled from page one and could not put this down. The characters are full of life [...]

Ehh **I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review**Jane worked with Mrs. Alsopp at her pie selling business. Jane was really a woman named Katrina who had escaped Sleepy Hollow. She was wanted for murder and witchcraft. She had escaped with Ichabod. She loved Ichabod but he was in no position to marry her. Jane knew of some hidden jewels that were back at Sleepy Hollow. The story was ok, the characters were decent, but the plot was just ok. It really wasn't that interesting. [...]

THE REVIEWWhy this book? After reading and enjoying Sleepy Hollow I had to read the sequelWhat I thoughtI was so excited there was a sequel to Sleepy Hollow. I wanted more from the ending of the last one and I feel like I got it. I do wish there was more Katrina and Ichabod moments though. With that said I did like finding out more about the headless horseman and his past. I enjoyed this sequel alot and loved the end.Overall it was a good read, that I recommend

A year or so has passed between reading the first book Sleepy Hollow by Dax Varley and reading this sequel. Return to Sleepy Hollow could stand alone. At first I struggled to understand why Katrina was called working in a pie shop and the pie shop owner was calling her Jane. It's explained well with snippets of info expertly worked in about Katrina and her relationship to Ichobod. The ending was full of action and surprises.

Just when it seems Katrina may have escaped the dangers of Sleepy Hollow, her security is compromised -- and not from just one source. Worse than threats from the living, it is the call of the Horseman that could be too much for Katrina to overcome. Full review on my blog kristinehallways/.

3.25 StarsThe sequel to Severed. You need to read the first book to better appreciate this novella. I like the new characters and I love the back story on the Headless Horseman. Ichabod was more of a side story in this book. I would have liked to see the last quarter of the book extended a little more. If you enjoyed the first one, you will want to read it Member Giveaway

This is an alternative story to the Legend of Sleepy Hollow. For me, I enjoyed it. The Legend of Sleepy Hollow was so intriguing to me, but it just leaves you with so many questions. I like to read alternative stories about the Horseman. This book moves along at a faster pace than the first.

It fitsMore romance than thriller, this book closes things nice and neat. But sadly has left me wondering about who killed Peter B.?

**I received a free digital copy of this book from NetGalley in return for an honest review.**Ooh what a great story. This is the first I have read by this author and I cant wait to read more!!!
