    I bought the Kindle version of this book in order to learn something of this rather mysterious ancient American people ahead of a trip I planned to take to Mexico, the main purpose of which was to see Mayan ruins. I did learn, but the book could/should have benefitted from a very firm editing. Frequently paragraphs don't tie together, instead seeming to be a series of lists in paragraph form.
