3.5 StarsThis story is told from Morgan's POV. And, not surprisingly, it puts Morgan in a more positive light than the previous two. That's not saying Morgan doesn't come off like a condescending dick sometimes, though. But we learn that his attitude is really grounded in the fear that he will lose Chris. I liked Morgan more in this one than in the others. Certainly not a bad series overall.

I love this short story and liked Morgan in it from the start as usually it takes me to the end of a book to like him. It was because i understood why he was being like he was, he was so frightened of losing Chris. he was expecting all firemen to be reckless like his ex and learned they were not.

This review can be found at The Armchair Reader.Sparks picks up five years after Morgan and Chris first start their relationship. While their love is strong and their relationship is more or less solid, Morgan is still harboring a dislike for all firefighters and hates Chris’ job, which causes more tension between the two. When Chris gets hurt in an accident on the job, Morgan’s fears come true and he’s looking to blame someone for the injury. Even when Morgan experiences how the firefight [...]

I'm not sure I'm that comfortable reading about a thirty-four year old and a man nearly fifty. I did enjoy "Tinder" mind you but because this book insisted on the age-difference a few times I did get a little squicked. (I know it isn't right and is rude to be squicked about age - but whatever).Morgan is still an arse and I don't understand why Chris bothers with him. I cannot imagine after five years being together the man insists on being a dickhead. How can you go around being dismissive of yo [...]

~sighs~Omg, I loved this one. When it came up for purchase, knew I had a chore to do. Really.Started off rereading from the beginning, the whole series.Nothing like revisiting old friendsd they are old friends of the first of many when I first started with M/M romance. But with Sparks, we finally get Morgan's side of the story. Jeez, I can say this in one sentence to sum it all up, "What a brave cowardly man he is." Loved the ending. Best one yet!Still would love to read more about Chance, Tucker, [...]

This was a short story from the Firefighters series. I wished it was a little longer. I didn't remember these characters because it's been long while since I read the last story. But I did remember a couple of others that showed up. That I didn't remember them didn't stop me from enjoying the story any less. Hey, it's firefighters! What's not to enjoy!
