    I received a copy of HORSE-MINDED from the First Reads program. I'm not overly confident in my ability or credentials to review a volume of poetry, but then again I suppose I have as good of an opinion as the next average reader.     I'm finally going to mark this as read even though I didn't get all the way through it. I am interested in poetry, but haven't found anything I'm crazy about yet. I entered the giveaway for this book because the cover is pretty awesome, and I am an equestrian. I was very disappointed to find that none of the poems I read were about horses at all, even though the title is "horse-minded".
