    Heart of Courage is an absorbing read. Mrs. Peone's writing style is captivating. I'm looking forward to more.

    ~)I received this book for free through First Reads.(~As I received this book in a giveaway, I did not have the first book to the series. However, I feel the reader was provided with enough of a back story to know how the main character had changed.To start with the pro's, I enjoyed the basic story: a Native American girl's coming of age story, fighting against the odds for her love of horses. I also really enjoyed the use of the native language. I was leery since the first time the word is men [...]

    The second in a series by Carmen Peone. Another book with an exciting plot where Spupaleena trains her horse and struggles with life, only to win with God's help in the end.
